Lampverse

Privacy policy

Effective October 10, 2026

In short: Lampverse has no account and no server of its own. Your settings, reading progress and favorites are stored only on your iPhone. We never see them, sell them or share them. The only thing the app can send anywhere is anonymous usage counts, and only in builds where that is switched on.

What stays on your phone

Everything you set or do in Lampverse is stored on your device: your translation choice, text size, notification time, favorites, the active reading plan, the days you have marked as read, your streak and the optional "Start on January 1" date. It lives in the app's own storage and in its App Group container so that the widgets can read it. Nothing is sent to us. There is no Lampverse account and no Lampverse server. Like any app's data, it is included in your device backups if you use them. Deleting the app deletes it.

Scripture text

The Bible texts are bundled inside the app. Reading needs no internet connection, and what you read, search or favorite is not recorded anywhere outside your phone.

Widgets

The Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets read the same local data: the verse list, your translation choice and your plan progress. They do not connect to the internet.

Notifications

The daily verse reminder and the reading-plan reminder are local notifications scheduled on your phone. They are off by default. Permission is requested only when you turn one on, and you can turn them off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings. No notification content goes to any server.

Photos

If you choose to save the verse of the day as a wallpaper, Lampverse asks for add-only access to Photos, which lets it add one image and nothing else. It never reads your photo library. The permission is requested only when you ask to save.

Anonymous usage statistics

Lampverse can send anonymous usage statistics to TelemetryDeck so that we can see which screens and features are used and notice when something breaks. This is disabled unless the build you have was configured with a TelemetryDeck app ID; the About screen in the app tells you whether it is on in your version.

When it is on, the app sends event names (for example "app opened", "plan day marked", "paywall shown") with a count, plus technical details such as device model and iOS version. The device identifier is hashed on your phone before it is sent; we cannot turn it back into you. Your name, email, location, favorites, reading progress and the verses you read are never sent. The data is not used for advertising or tracking and is not linked to your identity. In the App Store privacy label this appears as "Product Interaction" and "Device ID", not linked to you and not used to track you.

Purchases

Lampverse Plus is sold through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your name, card or billing details. Your purchase status is held by Apple and read by the app to unlock Plus features.

Cards you share

Share cards and wallpapers are rendered on your phone and go only to the apps or people you choose in the share sheet. Once shared, they are outside Lampverse's control.

Children

Lampverse is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, requests to access, correct or delete your data are fulfilled by deleting the app, which removes everything it stored. Anonymous statistics cannot be linked back to you. If you have a question, write to us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated and the new version is published on this page.
